查字典到底要怎么说英语？

“查字典”怎么说英语呢？动词+字典dictionary，关键在于用哪些动词是正确的。
网上有人说不能用check加dictionary，其实是可以的，看这个牛津搭配字典：
check, consult, look sth up in, use
这些词都可以带上宾语 dictionary，即：
check the dictionary
consult the dictionary
If you don't know the meaning of a word, look it up in the dictionary.

对于中学生来说，关于look sth up这个地方，特别要注意， look sth up这里后面的宾语sth不能直接是字典或参考书，而是要接查的那个单词。请仔细看看下面的英语解释：
