bide your time,  to wait until the right moment to do something
• 等待良机:
»They are stronger than us and can afford to bide their time.
他们比我们有实力,可以耐心等待时机。
He is biding his time [=waiting for the right opportunity] before asking his parents for a loan.
他正在等待时机[=等待合适的机会],以向父母借款。
She’s just biding her time until the right job comes along.
