adj [BrE spoken informal]
1. very surprised or shocked
• 非常吃惊的,目瞪口呆的

gobsmacked
(BrE, informal)  so surprised that you do not know what to say
utterly astounded; astonished
adjective Chiefly British Slang. utterly astounded; astonished:
I was truly gobsmacked by their decision.

What is another word for gobsmacked?
dumbfounded
stunned
astounded
astonished
amazed
stupefied
flabbergasted
shocked

Why do Brits say gobsmacked?
This word comes from Irish and Scottish Gaelic. It still pops up in other places in British slang – for example, “shut your gob!”
If you say that you were “gobsmacked,” it means that you were so surprised or astonished, it was as though someone had smacked you in the mouth.
